Senator Smith has spent much of her career working hard on behalf of all Minnesotans. After working at General Mills, Planned Parenthood, and her own small business, Tina served as Chief of Staff to Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and Governor Mark Dayton. Tina was then elected as the state’s 48th Lt. Governor in 2014. Since 2018, Tina has worked relentlessly as a senator to listen to and advocate for the needs of Minnesotans across the state.
Senator Smith has always made an effort to work across the aisle to make health care more affordable and accessible, fight for gender, racial and LGBTQ+ equality, support our rural communities, and protect the environment.
