Tina believes that it’s time to take action on gun violence. Too many of our communities have been devastated and American families’ lives shattered. We can – and must – pass common-sense laws that keep guns out of the hands of criminals and dangerous individuals.
Tina has met with the survivors of the Parkland school shooting and Minnesota students, who have shared how important it is to them that action is taken so that no one lives in fear of their own safety. Tina supports common-sense bills to make sure guns stay out of the hands of the wrong people.
That’s why Tina has worked closely with Senator Amy Klobuchar on her legislation to ban people convicted of stalking from having firearms. She is also a co-sponsor of the Background Check Expansion Act, which would expand background checks on the sale of all firearms, and the Assault Weapons Ban of 2019, which would ban the production and sale of new military-style assault weapons.
